The Hayloft: Studio / 1 bath. Sleeps 4.

Growing up, one of my favorite memories was slipping away from the adults and hiding out in Granddad’s old barn with my cousins.  We always ended up high in the hayloft, feeling like we had escaped from possible chores and other responsibilities.  We joked, laughed, told stories, and basically enjoyed ourselves until we could hear our parents calling us back.

And now we can offer our guests a similar escape!  Welcome to The Hayloft.  This studio apartment is tucked into the remodeled hayloft of a small horse barn.  What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in privacy, comfort, and peacefulness.  A large covered balcony welcomes you when you arrive and leads you into the solitude of The Hayloft.  The studio features a comfortable queen size bed and an efficient kitchenette for preparing simple meals using the microwave and induction hot plate.  Dinnerware and cooking utensils are provided.  A pair of leather armchairs and a flat screen TV with DVD player are ready to host all night movie marathons. Feel free to spend more time than you should unwinding in the large walk-in tiled shower – it has multiple spray heads and a rain shower feature that soothes and washes the day away. Be prepared to spend some quality time on the balcony, it will be waiting for you every evening and every morning to simply sit still and enjoy your surroundings. Watch the wildlife come to the pond to water – yes there are fish in the pond so you are welcome to bring a pole and try your luck (catch and release only), or track the horses as they work their way along the pasture to feed.

Don’t feel like you can’t be a part of the world while you are visiting The Hayloft though.  It may feel like you are lost in the countryside, but you will actually be within 10 to 20 minutes of several restaurants, shopping, trout fishing, kayaking, Beaver’s Bend State Park, and Broken Bow Lake. The Hayloft is ideal for guests who want to enjoy all the area has to offer, but then head back to your own personal piece of the country.

Remember, this country getaway is designed to help you unwind and to disconnect.  It doesn’t have cable television, it doesn’t have Wi-Fi, and it doesn’t have games or other distractions.  The Hayloft is a quiet place to work on finishing the next great novel, or starting the next great love story, or to just keep making memories you and your family will cherish for a lifetime.

The cabin is off a paved side road and has a circle drive with a large parking area that is suitable for boat or ATV trailers.

This cabin is pet friendly. Guests may have two (2) small dogs with a $20 per night non-refundable pet fee.  All dogs must be kenneled if left alone in the cabin. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in/on the beds otherwise additional cleaning fees may apply.
